Sell Us Your Cards

At Sword and Board, we are always looking to add to our inventory! We offer competitive payouts in Cash (EFT) or Store Credit.

Pro Tip: Store Credit always earns you a higher return and can be used for anything in-store or online.

How to use our Buylist:

Step 1: To begin selling singles you must create or be logged in to your Sword and Board account.

Step 2: Click the "Sell us your cards" link.

Step 3: Select which game you are selling cards from. You can sell us cards from multiple card games in the same buylist.

Step 4: Use the drop down underneath the Buylist Summary to change between cash or store credit. You can change this at any time but once you submit your buylist this option cannot be changed. If you want store credit on some cards and cash on others, please submit separate buylists.

Step 5: Use the search bar to find the cards you wish to sell and add quantities to your cart using the + sign. Make sure you select the proper edition, foiling, card condition, and number of cards. Feel free to compare pictures.

Step 6: Please sort the cards in the EXACT ORDER shown in your cart. Please note that there may be a delay in processing your order if it arrives out of order and a fee of up to 10% of your total may be applied for the labor involved to sort and process your buylist if this is not done correctly.

Step 7: Once you finish adding & sorting your cards on the buylist, click “Submit List”

Step 8: Bring your cards and drop them off in person at our store or carefully package and ship the cards to our store address:

If Shipping: 
Packaging: Do not use rubber bands. Use boxes designed for TCGs with bubble mailers or padding. Clearly mark the box with your name. 
Tracking: We strongly recommend purchasing tracking and insurance. We are not responsible for packages lost by mail carriers.
Costs: You are responsible for shipping costs. If you reject a revised offer, or there are cards rejected, you are also responsible for return shipping.

Step 9: Wait for us to process your cards. This may take one to seven days depending on backlog or ability.

Step 10: Get paid. Payouts of cash can be paid via EFT. Store credit will be deposited directly to your account upon completion of card assessment.
Take note: Any declined cards or returns must be collected within 1 month, or they will be disposed of.

Frequently Asked Questions

What games do you buy?
We buy singles for Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Pokémon.

What condition cards do you buy?
We only buy near mint cards.

Why did my offer change?
Offers are estimates based on real-time market algorithms and our current inventory levels. Prices are subject to change based on market shifts and the physical condition of the cards once inspected.

What about high-value cards?
Cards with a market value of $2,000 or above cannot be submitted through the automated buylist. Please contact us directly to negotiate a private deal for high-end collectibles.

How long do I have to send you the cards?
Buylists that are placed with us give us an incoming inventory, so orders must be postmarked or dropped off in-store within 14 days of placing your order. Orders postmarked after 14 days may have their orders cancelled.

Can I change my mind and get my cards back after the order has been finalized?
The only way we can provide you a return of your cards, if you change your mind regarding the grading or you disagree with the grades you’ve received, is if you have emailed us in advance of the buylist order requesting that you be contacted with the results before finalization. Once we’ve finalized an order, the order is committed to our live inventory and is immediately sent to our fulfillment team to be filed. There will be no way to tell which cards are yours at that point, so we will not be able to return the cards to you if you change your mind.

Fake or counterfeit cards?
We have a zero tolerance policy towards fake or counterfeit cards. In the event you have accidentally/unknowingly sent us a counterfeit card(s), we will notify you and destroy the card.
